Cyclists criticise Glasgow City Council over 'dangerous' Dumbreck Road cycle lane. COUNCIL chiefs have said "terrifyingly dangerous" changes to a cycle lane were made by mistake. A pop-up cycle route on Dumbreck Road has seen protective barriers removed with no warning - meaning cars are being driven head on into the cycle lane.

The times at which the restrictions apply for other road markings are shown on nearby plates or on entry signs to controlled parking zones. If no days are shown on the signs, the restrictions are in force every day including Sundays and Bank Holidays. White bay markings and upright signs (see below) indicate where parking is allowed.

Once the flats were built Glasgow City Council removed the road markings, however they left the signs. They also painted parking bays along the road but not everywhere, and the "No Stopping" signs are in place above these bays (see photo). The road then had permit parking introduced and also had pay and display added as well.
