Ok, I got a pair of chrome Gibson humbucker covers. I loosened the strings on my SG and then slipped the covers onto each pickup. Retuned the guitar. The end. I didn't solder anything, and I didn't even bother to take off the pickguard. The covers just slipped right on top of the pickups.
