Navitas Semiconductor, which is seeking to transform the semiconductor sector with its new gallium nitride (GaN) power chips, is the latest company to merge with a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC. Navitas is merging with Live Oak Acquisition Corp. II, a blank check company. The deal, announced in May, values Navitas, at $1.04 billion.
